"What climbing the corporate ladder looks like now"
Bundokin’s origins are rooted in a personal story of transformation. After serving honorably in the United States Army for over 20 years, I transitioned to the defense industry, ultimately reaching an executive-level position. Despite my professional success, the relentless demands of corporate life took a toll, leading to a deep yearning for peace and balance in my life. In 2018, that longing for a more fulfilling and authentic lifestyle led me to embrace remote work and set out on a life-changing journey. I traveled more than 20,000 miles around the country, camping, biking, hiking, and kayaking in very remote areas. It was through these experiences that I discovered the profound impact nature had on mental clarity, physical health, and personal growth. Bundokin is a reflection of my journey, and I am now committed to helping others reclaim balance, discover peace, and revitalize their lives.
The name Bundokin is inspired by the Tagalog word bundok, which means mountain. It symbolizes the essence of remote camping—dispersed, dry, or wild camping—where you venture off the beaten path, disconnected from modern amenities and immersed in the raw beauty of nature. Bundokin is all about embracing the wilderness, stepping away from the distractions of daily life, and reconnecting with the natural world in its purest form.
My mission is both simple and transformative: I aim to inspire individuals to achieve a healthier work-life balance by embracing the healing power of nature. Through immersive outdoor experiences, I encourage people to step outside their comfort zones, reconnect with the natural world, and engage in off-grid camping. More than just a social media platform, Bundokin is committed to enhancing well-being and fostering personal growth through nature.
Unlike many bloggers, I don't sell products or make money from promoting certain brands. The products I feature in my videos have been personally tested during real-life adventures on the road and off the grid. I believe it's essential to know what works and what doesn't in the field. However, I recognize that equipment needs vary depending on individual circumstances, such as location, specific requirements, and personal preferences. My goal is to share my honest experiences and insights to help you find the right gear for your own journey.
